What a GSTIN tells you
A GSTIN is 15 characters: the first two are the state code, the next ten are the holder’s PAN, the thirteenth is an entity code, the fourteenth is a fixed letter, and the last is a checksum. This tool verifies the format and checksum and decodes the state — but only the official GST portal can confirm whether a GSTIN is currently active.
